    Well,

There is still little logic (besides having more than 3GB available) for switching to Windowsx64. The weakest link is still the disk (unless you have a Sata600 raid 0 setup with four fast 150 MB/s read speed disks). Most data is moved in and out the data interface with 32 bits at a time (some disks allow for 48 bits).

I changed a Windows7 x64 Home permium for a Windows7 x32 ultimate on a laptop with a P4600 celeron (a 2Ghz dual core i3 with less cache). The machine was really faster with x32 although I lost 1 GB RAM memory (from 4 to 3). Problably becasue the smaller is populated with more statements now, because less cache space is used by 64 bits data registers, so pipeline operation prediction is more effective.

    Regards Kees

Updated to DW 3.11 and no problems to report. Running great as always.

Did you replace the 3.11 beta with the final 3.11?

Yes, downloaded DW 3.11 from SoftSphere website and installed over last 3.11 beta. Not sure if necessary, but this way I know I am using the latest/public release version.
