    Hi,

I'd like to suggest a feature to DCS RegistryProt. Monitor the run entry in the win.ini file.

I just got infected by Opaserv, and it writes an entry in the win.ini.

    Hi Weber ;)

According to DCS's website, there is in the works a product that is due to replace RegProt that will be called AutoStart Guard. This program will monitor all autostart entries (including those in the win.ini). You might want to take a look at their released AutostartViewer which allows you to *view* all entries and remove any you are sure you so not want or need. If you have a program that can compare text files you can regularly run asview and run comparisons between the different outputs and see what had changed in that interval. This can also be scripted. ;)

The webpage that discusses both products is here...
