CYSEC Free Anti-Virus

I bring to your attention Cysec. A free anti-virus with apparently one of the highest detection rates. More of a single file scanner. It uses Trend Micro House Call for the full scan.

BitDefender's doesn't seems to like it...,the other 50 clean result.

 

This one is certainly different. Single file scanner, no real time protection and yet it still installs itself to be started with Windows (God knows why), and to add insult to uselessness to do a full scan one must download and install the thoroughly horrible HouseCall.

Definitely a keeper (she adds with sarcasm).

 

It quite obvious not only to God why it runs on startup. It can be popped up quickly from running in background to check any downloaded files. It works fine alongside Kaspersky Pure 3.0

And what is so horrible about Trend Micro? It comes out on top for a period according to these 2013 reports.

did check it with VT..

looking really bad. alot of detection on it.

dont know if its FP.

These vendors should get a grip & realise not everybody wants to be a sheep etc

 

You don't need to use them to use this.

 

Oh well that just makes everything hunky dory, eh? Comodo approves it, the company that can't even get their own programs bug-free. I'll go download this awesome AV right away! /sarcasm off.

Really though, this thing smells funny, they can keep it.

Those images at the top are really classy I wonder if they are present in the installation as separate files ?
Also did you try it against real malware ?

Bug-free software... God I haven't laughed so much for a long time thanks

 

No problem. I expect software to have a bug or two, but I expect a company that knows about them and has known for months to fix them and not ban people for bringing it up.
