Cybercriminals increasingly targeting Australia as a launch pad for cybercrime

A Threat Intelligence Brief report published on Wednesday by one of the largest internet security companies in the US, Webroot, has found Australia is a lucrative market for cybercriminals.

The report found Australian-based cyber threats — including malicious IP addresses, suspicious URLs and phishing sites — more than doubled in 2015.
