Customize Facebook with Adblock Plus

    This assumes one has a standing installation of AdBlockPlus.

    Below are the three filter types one can choose.
    • Block all Facebook annoyances
    • Block only sidebar annoyances
    • Block only news feed annoyances

    I added it a few days ago - it really cleans up the clutter on there.

    The new feature has been welcomed with open arms by Facebook users despite threads on the Forum like:
    German blogger calls Adblock Plus 'a mafia-like advertising network'

    The attachment shows the main advertising column fully blocked with the *Block all Facebook annoyances* filter.

    The notion that one could 'customize' Facebook by blocking a few items is a bit of a stretch. Are you able to quantify the open arms claim?

    It is no stretch, the filters work as advertised. Open arms means that those that are using the described filters are blocking exactly what they wanted blocked.
