I know this is an awfully simple question but...

When someone right clicks with the mouse and selects copy or paste (ctrl c or x) where is this info stored?

If I use Microsoft Word, I can do this a few times and a clipboard appears, but if I use other programs, there's nothing, and it seems it can only hold one copied thing at a time.

Info is being stored in clipboard, if it is not on accessories then
    start>run
    type
    clipbrd
    hit ok

    Hi Indy,

You kinda answered your own question, it's stored in the clipboard.

If you google clipboard you'll find enhanced clipboard programs that can hold multiple clipboard entries. To paste you have to control v.
