Don't worry your comments were taken onboard, alas I wasted my time testing it before you wrote them.Time that'd have been better spent completing Modern Warfare 2 :p

LOL just a tad off topic but I'm in the Hornet's Nest level (normal).

Back on topic,I wonder how many of these small, independent AVs will be still active in even 12 months. It seems many of them are just a pet project rather than a serious development.

Hey, Im part of Crystal, if you have used crystal you may know me as AVJamesS...

If I tell you a bit of background history about Crystal you may feel a bit more comfortable...

Crystal started off as a University project, as me and a mate took a degree in computer programming and technical studies. It progressed from designing a simple warning program to a full-on antivirus. We was monitored by professional examiners whilst designing Crystal (so no fraud or legal issues may occur) The robot was a design made by Can4tek from a project we done in Sixth form, so no copyright issues should occur...

the GPsquad.can4tek.co.uk, was a file hosting server we done in HIGH SCHOOL! and we still use it today as it is rather efficient.

I can see where you are coming from with not trusting us as I am exactly the same, but now you know it is completely safe as it was the project that got us the degree in programming, so I hope this helps..

Look on the bright side Mike. I doubt that it will cause any false positives.

According to AVC, lack of FPs is important. So maybe I should replace my current AV (Avira Premium) with Crystal AV. Eh? o_O :gack:  :ouch:

Maybe you should not present your half-baked 'AV' as a real AV that is capable of preventing people from being infected.
Do your signatures catch over 90 % of malware ? :cautious:

People can get hurt if they mistake your program for a real AV.

I have an old smelly sock here.
It has all the features to protect your computer from online threats such as viruses, spyware and malicious software.
You can have it for free.
Just put it on your monitor and a clothespin on your nose.

    Cheers
