I have found Dr Web to be the best AV I have used. Personally, I love it. They are very responsive to all support issues and this isnt a basic AV.

I am not going to go into their pricing structure but will say it is more of a specialty AV compared to others. But since you insist whitedragon, ;) go here and you wont regret it.

well now, by specialty, I mean special in some areas. Like cleaning and rootkit detection. You know, specialty.;)

    Not a great answer, huh..

Dr Web is a great AV, but like all, should be trialed like others to see if it fits your needs. I feel it is a very special one that is overlooked by some.

Still humming along nicely with DrWeb AV v6, PrevX SOL, and LnS real time only.

Any other ideas? Something I maybe havent thought of yet?

For me its running fine in real time. Has very minimal IO reads and writes. So minimal its not even registering in Process Hacker. As for RAM usage its about 130Mbs and only has 3 processes.

Dr.Web Antivirus is good AV. It is lightweight and works best on Windows XP to 7. I have used it on spare computer for more than 3 weeks without any problem. It supports custom installation and offers plenty of settings. You can also lock down host file and other critical system files.

Currently in the process of hardening IE8. I may make the switch to IE8. The rendering compared to FF is just simply steps ahead.
