I created a full backup onto a tape drive. My server was wiped out and now I need to restore from that backup. How can I get TI to boot up and read that backup with no OS currently loading. Do I need to load an OS to do this or is there a way that i can create a TS loader boot disk so I can restore from the tape. The manual doesn't give very good instructions on restores.

You will have to find another computer where you can install True Image then make the TI bootable CD. This CD will have the basic Backup, Recovery and Clone features on it.

Yes folks, better to read the manual before a problem arises rather than after. But better to read it after than not all.

    Hello NNA,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Corporate Disk Backup Software.

Please notice that you can find the detailed instructions on how to create and use Acronis Bootable Rescue Media in chapter "Creating bootable media" of the respective User's Guide.

    Thank you.
