I got another crash memory dump. When I restarted I wipe almost a Gigabyte of dump files and other temp files. Can you tell me what these files are and if they would ordinarily be a privacy concern? Also, I am confused as to why these files were still there after restart since Returnil was active??

    Hi caspian,
Please take me through exactly what happens and when it happens to result in the crash dumps. Include as many detailed steps as possible so we can test this in the lab.

    Thanks
    Mike

I can't remember exactly what I was doing the first time except that I was clicking on stuff and downloading.

I was using Sandboxie both times.

The second time I was at a social networking/picture sharing site. I saw a picture that I wanted and there was a download button. I clicked on it and instead of downloading the picture, it wanted me to buy a premium membership. I clicked something to get out of it and all of a sudden the screen was blue and there was a bunch of text on my screen. It said Crash memory Dump. When I restarted and ran Ccleaner there was almost 1 G of memory dump files. But it hasn't happened again since I started this thread.

Did you save the dump files? If yes, can you send the file or files that have the same time/date stamp as the blue screen incident to support (dash) tech (at) returnil (dot) com?

    Thanks
    Mike

I didn't save them. But I will next time. Although it will be quite a large upload. But I am hoping that it doesn't happen again.
