ive gone off betas for the time being except betas that i can run on my old pc.

im currently trying RC1 MP1 kav beta and it rocks!

counterspy 2.0 is definatly on my list and when it goes final i will try it.
anyidea when it will be out as final? as long as before december im fine.

is it better to buy kav+look n stop to use as real time and just then use on demand scans?
because look n stop is lighter than comodo.
i only run f-secure as my real time atm and the scans only find tracking cookies. I used to use spysweeper shields but only blocked tracking cookies and scans now only find tracking cookies same with a squared free.

Beta security software.... I'm sorry, that's just asking for trouble (knowing how unreliable most security software is even after passing the beta stage). :D

    Very interesting therad.
Anyone can say memory usage of Counterspy/a-Squared/Ewido/SpySweeper?
In particular I know that if shield is down Ewido guard.exe still run. So similar for Spysweeper.
In particular for SS 5.0 I found a sistem slow-down even if shield was down, I'm asking if with new releases you found the same problem.
Please show memory usage (with and without shield) if you can.

    Not neccessarily!
It depends on the developer.I have run quite a few betas and very rarely see an unstable program.Being selective helps also.
