It happens. I've bought things several times throughout my life that "go on sale" a short time later. I may pay $100 for something that will "be on sale" for $70 two months later. It happens.

I have bought lifetime licenses for software that "changed their policy" and started renewals. As a result, I bought "lifetime licenses" for products that are no longer on my machine(s).

And just because you don't like lifetime licenses doesn't mean you should rain on other people's parade! ;) I don't like having to pay renewals for software either, but that doesn't mean that I'll get what I want in that regard :cautious:

But *IF*....Sunbelt offered a lifetime license for CounterSpy, I'd buy it. Whether I live or the company exists for years to come is irrelevant. Just the comfort of knowing that I won't have to worry about an expiring product and have to renew is enough of an enticement for me....

If what you want requires a purchase, it must be bought or done without.

And it will happen at Sunbelt (or any other company), you only have to.................wait.

Maybe they have an offer for CounterSpy with Christmas 2011 :D

    Maybe logic fails you :)

Why wait till a problem occurs and then fix it, instead of preventing problems ?

That I don't get infected doesn't mean I'm content with my current setup, the biggest drawbacks are resource hogging and collection of 'personal' data.

You never catch viruses/spyware. What do you want to prevent then?
