    Hi guys,

i´m desperately trying to creat a bootable rescue disk (dvd) with TI 11 Home (german version).

after starting to create a rescue disk i´m requested to put a cd/dvd into dvd-burner, but then the error-message
    "E00040010: Gerät ist beschäftigt/Device is busy (0x40010) Tag = 0x8B7F3138EBD33EB3" appears..!

Maybe someone could help? thx VERY much in advance :)

I'm not sure that the rescue disk can be a dvd unless you're using the feature to put the backup image on it as well. Have you tried using a cd disk?

A DVD disk isn't necessary; it's like overkill. The small amount of bytes required for the boot CD could even fit on a pocket-sized CD-R (the 210 MB/24 minute type) and still leave lots of room left over.

    Kottan,

Have you tried leaving the DVD drive tray open (with the blank DVD in it) and letting Media Builder shut it when it starts the burn process?

This seems to work for a lot of people with this problem. Otherwise, you can create an ISO file and use Nero or another ISO burner program to create the CD.

The other thing that could cause a problem is your Nero or similar Cd formatting utility running in the background. So if you use InCD or similar, make sure it is unloaded from the system tray before trying to make a rescue CD.

What Colin said makes since, I’ve had a lot of trouble with InCD wanting to take over my burner & backing up to DVD-R or RW seems to work but when I try to run them again they won’t open & I’ve trashed a lot of DVD-R’s & had to format my DVD-rw’s & start over again, as far as I’m concerned INCD is worthless, at least for me. The only thing I use Nero6 for anymore is to burn DVD’s & not with INCD.
