I have 3 copies of True Image Home v10 (4942) and I am trying to backup 3 computers (1 desktop, 2 laptops) to a shared 320Gb NAS device.

I am attempting to do a full backup with daily incrementals. Backup rules are 100Gb quota (desktop), max backups is 2. Backup policy is daily differential, new full backup after 6 diffs. Task runs daily.

What I find is that the backup is corrupted soon after the consolidation.

Todays failure is typical of what I have been experiencing...

I have some serious concerns regarding this consolidation. It simply should not report a corrupted file immediately after "successfully" finishing a backup.

I have tried deleting the older backups and allowing TI to create the backup set from scratch, all to no avail.

This is what I have on disk.

The file corruption was reported at 17:33. Also ..D2 later than ..D3

    5 File(s) 161,918,299,203 bytes
    3 Dir(s) 69,809,995,776 bytes free

As you can see there is 65Gb free.

There has been no intervention whatsoever. TI has simply been allowed to make it's daily incrementals which was created and validated fine yesterday, but I no longer see a file dated yesterday.

When it comes to consolidating, it's game over.

    Can anyone comment?

I had this problem with file-backups. Turned out to be all System Volume Information folders. If I exclude (uncheck) these folders, file-backup validation completes OK.

This problem persists with drive-backups (drive images), of course, since you cannot exclude anything. I just do not validate drive-backups.

    thanks for the reply.

sounds plausible, however i don't believe, it's this as I was doing a full image backup.

    perhaps that's my problem...
