I am trying to restor an image created on acronis v.8 but being told it is corrupt. Is there a way to mount the image and pull the information stored when it is this state?

    Hello paulcc,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Actually, sometimes it is possible to mount a corrupted image archive as a virtual drive using Explore Image tool (Plug Image tool for version 9.0), but we do not guarantee the success in this case.

Please also note that in order to mount an image archive spanned over a several CDs\DVDs you should copy all the files from all discs to one separate folder on your hard drive and only after that start a mounting process.

You can find more information on how to use Acronis True Image 8.0/9.0 in the respective User's Guides.

    Thank you.

I have a fully registered verison 8.0. I have downloaded the trial of V9.0 to try and mount the image.

Would it be possible to send the file to you to see if you can access it as it seems to not want to let us mount the image to a drive letter using the plug image tool.

Let me know if you can help!

The image is a single file over 8Gb will that be a possible problem with it being so big?
