I understand how governments, the NSA, AT&T or law enforcement could track a persons internet surfing and cell phone usage.

Could anyone explain how a large private corporation eavesdrops on a persons personal internet usage at home and personal cell phone ? This is without the victim ever accessing the corporate website/network from their home.

I know for a fact this is being done by some large corporations, however, I doubt they have the legal authority to do it.

For all purposes that matter, big corporations, government, and law enforcement are one and the same.
