    Hello,

I have acronis Disk Director and True image, as i want to parition and image my files.

However, as i have a dell 9150 (with dell system restore - DSR, that relies heavily on the MBR to work) i was wondering about the copy MBR feature, just incase things go wrong. But when i get to try to copy my MBR (Disk 1 > Advanced > Copy MBR OK is grayed out.

    Any reasons why?

    Thanms

    Hello Major_Disaster,

'Copy MBR' operation allows you to copy Master Boot Record from one hard drive to another.

Most likely you didn't select the destination hard disk so 'OK' button was disabled.

We recommend that you use Acronis True Image to back up the entire hard drive. If you choose to image the entire disk all partitions including DELL service partition(s) and MBR will be backed up.

    Thank you.
