Cool Smilie wrongly triggered

    I guess this is sort of like the smilie that is triggered if you use three question marks in a row. I just noticed this in a post in the NOD32 forum and I replied and the same smilie got triggered in my post. Funny, but also a bit irritating since this cool smilie cuts off information. There is supposed to be the number 8 and a close parenthesis symbol after the 0 below ...not a smilie! What could be triggering this one?

    Yes, that is exactly what is triggering it. The "8" followed by the ")" will produce that :cool: character. Two ways around this is to either put all the copy/paste information into a code block...

    Or while making the post, you can select the: "Disable smilies in text" item in the Additional Options section below where you enter the message to be posted, which actually will suppress all such characters.
