I had netscape installed a while back but i ended up uninstalling it. However, I am finding bits and pieces still. I did not have it long enough to get to know it, but i found this in documents and settings...application data\phoenix and now i wonder if it explains some problems i was having.

if anyone cares to educate me on this (cookperm.txt) file...

    1) does this mean to block or permit these sites?

    2) what is S005-01-4-11-######-#####.com (note: i substituted the # for the actuall integers because i don't know who it is identifying, and it looks familiar)?

    3) this "Phoenix" folder is 23+ MBytes and it looks like it is storing log in data and passwords. I imagine this should have been deleted when Netscape was uninstalled. It is not listed in Add/Remove programs. I changed the name for now but i thought i'd wait a bit before i delete it to make sure it is what i assume it is...a netscape refugee.

Feel free to delete it. It's a profile for Netscape/mozilla/pheonex (now firefox) etc. Unless you are using the same profile for Netscape/mozilla/pheonex/firefox/firebird etc..

The cookieperm file stores permissions for sites to allow popups, cookies, images

Your list shows a long (imported?) list of sites that are not allowed to place cookies.

Can't answer your last question about s-xxx-xxx.

    Sorry.

I must have downloaded that list but i don't remember when...maybe it will be of use to someone. i just did not know the format so was unable to tell if it was blocking or allowing those, anyway i did delete the files, thanks
