Control panel pop up

I keep getting the NOD32 control panel popping up but after checking I do not SEEM to have any viruses. I minimize the setting and all is well but every time i start windows XP, after a couple of minutes, up she pops once again. Clear it and all ok again.

Something to do with definitions, maybe

I have the "Threat sense" item disabled.

What version of NOD32 do you have ?

Version 2.5

The "Control Centre" appears mnimized in the task bar after about a mnute after starting. Functionality is not compromised and scanning is all in order, definitions are updated.

It just concerns me that I might be missing some kind of warning.

I'm just about to upgrade to 2.7, maybe that's all I need to do.

I will provide a screenshot but there is only the taskbar indication to see.

I realise that this might just be me overreacting but it is just a bit disconcerting when it occurs.

It sounds like you are referring to the NOD32 "Splash screen" that appears after booting a computer, rather than the "Control Centre" which is usually found in the bottom right hand corner of your computers screen as a Green and White square.

Are you using a wireless connection?

Nope, it's definitely the "Control Centre"

I'm on a home ntwk with no wireless.

Thanks for identifying the problem yourself . I can now understand you better . Reinstalling NOD32 will most likely help you Let us know how you go

 

Just in case this does happen to somebody else, upgrade to 2.7 has fixed the issue..................or am I saying a re-installation is the answer ? Anyhoo I'm good to go.
