Control center and new features in Dr.Web for Linux v.6.0
    April 22, 2010

The Russian anti-virus vendor Doctor Web announced the release of Dr.Web anti-virus for Linux v.6.0. The updated product incorporated the Control Center, the SpIDer Guard file monitor and supports 64-bit Linux systems.

Dr.Web for Linux v.6.0 is a completely new product for protection of workstations operated by Linux. New component – SpIDer Guard file monitor – has been added to check files for viruses in a real time mode.

Using the Control Center a user can quickly access any components of the program and tune them up as s/he needs it.

Other new components worth mentioning: the graphical installer, the manageable quarantine with the restore option for suspicious files and the directory size limit option; the scheduler for scheduled scans of the protected system; customizable alerts, including sound alerts, and the license manager.

The graphical user interface of the new program is completely rebuilt.

Users of the previous version of Dr.Web anti-virus for Linux (6 months or more) can take advantage of the low-cost upgrade and get the new solution at the renewal price even if their license has already expired. In order to upgrade, purchase the renewal license for Dr.Web for Linux for 1, 2 or 3 years. The remaining period of the current license will be added to the new license and you will be able to enjoy the protection of the new product immediately after you register the renewal license.
