This means that it is a bug related to defence+.
Does it disappear if you only disable defense+ ? If it does then it is not related to the hips driver and you can try by disabling one by one the protections of defence+ to identify where exactly the problem resides.

Well, this is a different story.
First you must realise that the ZA bug affected all the XP SP3 users. And they where obligated to fix it asap; if they didn't want to have hordes of angry clients. :p
Second every company has it's priorities. They have to balance their resources between fixing bugs and researching/developing new features for their existing products and for the new products that plan to release in the near future.
After that they have to balance the resources between:
    1) critical bugs (like the one of ZA) that affect a big percentage of their clients, which should be fixed in the less possible time...
    2) non critical bugs that affect most of the clients...
    3) critical bugs that affect a small part of their clients...
    4) non critical bugs that affect a small part ot their clients...
number 3 and number 4 always have the lowest priorities and in some cases they may never be fixed.

Anyway there are a lot of equally good free and paid alternatives out there. If a product does not play well in your pc you can always try another. ;)
