    First sorry for my English, I'm not from UK and I'm new in this forum.
    Now I'll state my impression of Eset Smart Security. I have used many AV in the past both Trial or free ones but I can say I found ESS very interesting. However I found a probably bug:
    I made a context menu scan of an external hard disk with an infected XP OS in. Ess has detected 250 infected files, all .dll or .exe but it didn't clean or delete any of this. Then I have explored the HD and the real time protection has started to clean or delete these files. After I have tried a drive scan and it has happened the same thing (delete or clean). It is important to say that I have set all type of scan cleaning as Strict Clean and I don't know why I encountered this problem.

    PS: As I have said Ess is very a interesting security tool and I just have wanted to state my experience.

    Regards.

    Could you please tell us step by step how you ran a scan in cleaning mode?

    1) Display: Advanced mode
    2) Set up
    3) Enter entire Advanced Set up
    4) On-demand computer scan
    5) Context menu scan
    6) Threatsense engine parameter setup
    7) Cleaning = Strict cleaning

    8 ) Start -> Computer -> right click on external drive -> Scan with ESET smart security.

    Result = 250 infected objects / 0 cleaned objects

    My OS = Vista HP

    Regards.
