Hey I started using ghostwall recently, with pretty much the default settings. The only rule I added was to block all icmp traffic, which i placed at the very top. However for some reason if I don’t stay active on the internet for a certain amount of time, am presented with an error message telling me that I have little or no connectivity. It took me a while to realise it was actually ghostwall causing this and am wondering has this happened anyone else or can somebody give me some advice.

BTW: when I click repair, in network connections – it cannot acquire a new ip address. I usually end up having to restart the machine.

Have you tried removing the block icmp rule you added,to see if that is the cause? That's what it sounds like to me.

You need to allow icmp in- type 0,3,11 and out- type 3,8. Then put your block 'AFTER' these rules.
