I just installed Acronis DIrector Suite onto my computer and installed OS Selector. It finished installing on my computer and told me I need to reboot in order to finish the installation. I rebooted and now my computer will not start at all. It just sits on a black screen with a little white - in the upper left hand corner.

Did you create the DD cd when you installed DD?

Did you repartition anything when installing or just install DD and reboot?

If you have an xp install disk you can probably fix this from the recovery console.

Be careful with the recovery console - it can really mess things up

I did not create a CD when I started. Also, I did not repartition anything. I just installed the program for OS Selector. I'll try the recover console thing, im not exactly to worried about it messing up my windows, as long as it works enough to back up my files to another hard drive.

So, what am I supposed to do in that recover console thing... I tired a bunch of things that has to do with booting... but none of them fixed the problem, so now I don't know what to do.

[edit]I read into my problem a little bit more (re-read the links in the other post) and I solved my problem by fixing my Master Boot Record. Thanks for the help![/edit]
