    It's true, the price when taking into account the postage, is ridiculously small for what you get.

    The main reason for it's success is 'the plain english' factor you mentioned.

    Many magazines assume prior knowledge of everything on the part of the reader, which can be off putting when trying to learn a new computer software/hardware skill.

    I have it and I like it, both the German and Dutch editions. A lot more indepth articles.
    Nice tools, tips, tricks and links.

    Have you tried PCW (Personal Computer World). Have found it to be more sensible than the others. Used to have PC Plus but they have gone a bit trashy and expensive.

    Have found all the cover CD/DVD to be mostly full of rubbish. Just occasionally there is something worth having.
