If I have my hd encrypted with Compusec and someone penetrates my firewall will they see encrypted data even if I am logged on to my desktop?

If Compusec works like TrueCrypt, then
Presuming someone penetrates your firewall while your computer is booted, they have access to your unencrypted data. You don't need to be logged in, the system is decrypting the hard drive to run.

Of course it also depends on the method of penetrating your firewall.

Full HD encryption is more of a security measure against theft of the physical drive.
