Is TI 2009 reliant on Vista SP1 being installed?

    Hello all,

You may submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. To expedite the resolution we recommend you to use our Live Chat service after that. We will do our best to investigate the issue and provide you with a solution.

Our software can work from Vista, but you may also manage your operating system partition withoud direct installation of Acronis software, use Acronis Bootable Media CD. You may create it from Tools -> Create Acronis Bootable Rescue Media. Please also notice that you can find detailed information on Acronis True Image in the respective User's Guide.

    Thank you.

Just a couple of thoughts to help anyone else who runs into this.

The reason for the multiple ControlSet keys is to support the 'Last Known Good' boot option. Given that Set3 looked valid (upper filters in place) and the files were still on the disk, booting in to 'Last Known Good' may well have worked. It's on the 'Safe Mode' menu, hit F8 while booting.

ControlSet1 is almost always the 'Current'. Unless, of course, you've booted into 'Last Known Good'. ;) The key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Select\Current will tell you which 'ControlSetnnn' was last 'Current'.
