I'm not sure if CTM will function properly in a VM,I've not given it a try though as yet.:doubt:

I also wonder about possible privacy implications. It used to be that securely erasing a file meant just that but unless there's the option to wipe that file from any snapshots automatically there's the possibility of recovery.

  2. No.

CTM is way more powerful then System Restore... It is a full system virtualization program with other options you can see in the software. Think of it as a Virtual Machine, and you also have the ability to save any files or folders when restoring to a snapshot.

Any malware that goes in, Send it straight back in time! This product is a competitor to deep freeze, shadow defender, rollback, etc. Also reading over a few posts, Boot volume is protected by default. So if default is C:\ then D:\ won't be auto time machined... But one thing is for sure CTM can protect multiple hard disks.

Btw: CTM does work in a multiboot system provided the OS's are either: Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7 32bit or 64bit (all OS that CTM supports).

    3xist.

for the people with problem to install (error msg "need ADM privileges") run a command prompt with adm privileges(in start menu - acessories folder) , go to the folder where the msi are and use the command "start xxxxxx.msi".

Does anyone know if it will function with RollBack (or clones) enabled, so as to recover to a RB snapshot should the need arise from the test? In other words, two instant recovery softwares operating at the same time.

Even if we use some third party boot manager, like GAG? Sorry, but I need to be sure.

i didn't say they use the same code , but they look the same in the way u can see same menu names , anden same way of behavior
furthermore , CTM seem to be more advanced than rollback RX , its support multiple drives and maybe more things we don't know yet :D

    cheers

Got to say this is very impressive. I deleted some registry keys and system files and it restored them perfectly. I'd like to know how much disk space it uses for snapshots and whether it impacts on system performance in any way, but otherwise it seems like a great piece of software. Maybe I will stop using Geswall now !

name taken from Apple. And i am surprised that they even did not bother to change the wording, it,s word by word rip off from ayrecovery. I wonder if it costs much of brain to change there things.

Out of interest has anybody got any idea how this works because I have noticed that taking snapshots doesn't seem to use extra disk space. Snapshots are also extremely quick to make so it can't be copying all the disk data. Any ideas ?

ceate a snapshot then install a new software, then restore a snapshot that you created.............and try to find the software that you installed

or create a snapshot ,after that delete somethibg from your drive, then restore snapshot

on my pc works this beta like a charm

    nice Comodo Very nice THANX
