Window Firewall was turned off on my systems when Comodo Firewall installed. I would think that would be the desired configuration, ie only one active firewall.

I don't have it installed on this PC but I will try to answer...
    1) C:\VritualRoot
    2) after it gets more recognizers...in the near future.
    3) It disables Windows FW

if you run a browser in a sandbox and you download a file does it prompt you to take it out of the sandbox? kinda like sandboxie does?

No, you have to do it manually through Shared Space.

Giving this a go. Roboscan was a bust. Will never part with WSA but I am a huge Comodo fan too.

I agree, the sandbox still has a way to go, but a lack of total automation isn't necessarily a bad thing. For novice Sandboxie users, like my parents, any kind of automated/quick recovery, especially with third-party content, could be disastrous. My opinion is that unless your installing software you absolutely trust, their really should be no reason for downloaded content to ever touch your physical system. Just my two cents. One could argue the persistent will find a way. I'm willing to accept that, but for the lazy and uneducated it might be best to put the cookies on the top-shelf in the back of the cupboard.

Two ways, right click on the tray icon, move you cursor to Firewall, and HIPS to make your selection(s). You can also open the UI, on the left you'll see Firewall, to the right of that is the mode selection. Same thing with HIPS. Bear in mind I am using the firewall component only, don't know if the complete CIS package is any different.

I've been having a bug with v7 all the way from the first beta until now.

The firewall is pretty much not working except it is. Its showing blocked "Intrusions" but I'm not getting any popups although comodo is set to display firewall alerts.

It also constantly shows 0 inbound and outbound connections even though I have alot of Internet facing applications running.

I just now got around to posting about it in the Comodo forums and it wasnt moved it was deleted about 5 minutes after I posted it :cautious:

I can confirm, it is happening on my system too

CFW reports Intrusions blocked, but clicking on the tab shows nothing.

    Ah! Thank you :)

You should, you wont be disapointed :)
The AV portion really is surprising me at how strong it is.

Your findings are based on? Right now, I am using Qihu with Comodo FW. Not sure, if I must switch to Comodo AV!

Sher- If you want an AV component to go with CF don't switch. Trust me.

I have now installed CIS Premium, but the update process is painfully slow. Extremely annoying.

Don't get me wrong, 360 is way more powerful a AV solution than Comodo's AV.

All I am saying is that Comodo's AV is not as weak as alot of people have claimed.

And my findings are based on personal tests as well as Malware Packs from MalwareTips.

For real life use, especially for those who haven't come across malware in years (except the self-inflicted variety), an AV is superfluous with CF installed.

As the real work 0f protection in Comodo products is done by the Sandbox (at least when set appropriately), does it really matter that an AV will flag a file as malicious if it would be shunted into sandbox oblivion anyway?

Can a keylogger logs key strokes when running sandboxed? Will comodo protect against keyloggers running sandboxed? Do I need to reset sandbox before doing any financial transaction online?

I am testing it out right now. The results are decent. Nothing extraordinary.
