please help us test the file submission guys make sure its fixed. The RC of CIS 7 fixed the software side issue and it looks like they have finished some server side changes

Im still seeing issues for file submission since the first beta. Same error code that has been reported already. Overall it has been a stable beta. Now the RC is much more responsive. Looking forward to final release. Just hope its not rushed as there is still more work to be done.

Actually from all the feedbacks and also personal feedbacks file submission is working but from times to times we get the same error. Then we retry and it works. Hopefully they'll fully correct it in next build.
For the rest : it's running very well here.

I noticed that trying a second time works as well. exe files work fine but installers failed the first time around. I wonder how much of an improvement they made or are going to make to Viruscope and the Web filter. Just seems like its still going to be a "work in progress" as version 7 evolves. Overall seems like a replacement for the much beloved version 5.10.

Regarding the "enhanced protection mode" setting in HIPS I found this explanation:

If you are using a 64-bit system, in order to maximize the security, it is important to select 'Enable enhanced protection mode (Requires a system restart)' – Enabling this mode will activate additional host intrusion prevention techniques in Defense+ to countermeasure extremely sophisticated malware that tries to bypass regular countermeasures.

Because of limitations in Windows 7 x64, some HIPS functions in previous versions of CIS could theoretically be bypassed by malware. Enhanced Protection Mode implements several patent-pending ways to improve HIPS in Defense+

It's off by default. Are there any "cons" to enabling this feature?

Well, what you ask is answered and explained in your post :) :

yep, if your OS is 64-bit.

and it doesn't matter if it is disabled by default.

if you have 32-bit OS than no need in it.

I returned to 6.3 as this 7.0.4101 doesn't start Virtual Desktop. It freezes. In general it's as light as 6-th version.

i have many doubts but i hope this new version will be good and stable. im not a fan but would be nice to have another option for clients that refuse to pay for a av.

Could you please share your thoughts and experiences with Comodo as why, " your not a fan " sorry just curious, i for one like the hips/firewall/sandbox concept. But im always on the lookout for other stronger solutions that share Comodo's lightness. Overall the Comodo Firewall with D+ and sandbox make for a very light but strong combination that works seamlessly together. I do however have no interest in their DNS, Viruscope, AV or their Website Blocking features. I simply don't see the need when the profile is set to Proactive mode with a few extra tweaks.

Yeah i thought Online Armor was fantastic. But for some reason, not sure why i didn't renew my license. I suppose i cant commit to a setup for too long before i feel the urge to change. There is just so much great software and combinations to exploreo_O

Almost two weeks and no bugs found. Indeed, the AV feels lighter. Last time I checked, it booged down my comp when openning multiple webpages (like 20), but now is smooth as silk.

    Thanks, sista!
I'm waiting for the official announcement.
They are still sleeping in the USA so this will probably happen later today.
