Put any site that sells legitimate keylogging software like elite keystroke recorder or ardamax keylogger into these site rankers and you,ll get the same result....nothing new there.

According to URLVoid 5 out of 28 detect this as bad.

ellison64 made the point that while programs such as this may be unethical they are not malware. There is a difference between a commercial keylogger that is freely installed by the end user and a keylogger that arrives stealthily via a trojan and transmits you bank log-in details to the authors, even if they exhibit similar traits.

It's a commercial keylogger, don't start to make up things.

1/32 ~ VirusTotal Results Removed per Policy ~

It's dangerous for anybody using comodo or any other security program? not at all, in such case somebody would need access to your computer to install it, so it doesn't matter how many popups, av alerts... you get the user will allow (ignore/add to exclusion list...) everything because he knows what is he installing and he wants to install it.
So it's not malware, it's not designed to cheat the user making him think that is installing something else.

Ive just been over to the comodo forum and i think if im going to bother with this i shall wait until it becomes a stable final product because as of yet i have not seen anything which convinces me this is worth downloading right now.

There seems to be reports of the av not being updated etc.
And also the virtual kiosk cannot be turned on unless you perform a registry "tweak"..That is absurd making users go delving into the windows registry to turn on and use a component and i seriously hope they are going to change this.:ninja:
To even release a beta and forcing users to go into the registry is quite unacceptable and the more i look at it the more im not impressed,v5.10 was so much more useable than this.
I accept its only a beta but i would have sooner they had not bothered with the beta and one of the moderators has already admitted that the reason it was released was because of forum members pushing for a release.
Im in no rush to try this(even if i ever bother that is.).:argh:

I know that fans of comodo (i am one of them)will criticize me for this but that is how i see it and i hope they do sort out this silly registry tweaking nonsense.:thumb:

You read it wrong. This is not true.

The Kiosk is there and working. The registry tweak is to enable full virtualization for Auto-Sandboxed apps alone, because its a very new and possibly problematic feature, so for the sake of stability, it is disabled by default. ;)

You can just wait for a few weeks for the final release :) I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Is there any indication when that will be?
I assume that will be a separate download or does it update within comodo v6o_O

Having tried the beta release for a short while, I actually find myself agreeing with this statement for now...

Yep! The UI is pretty but not practical at all. It has great features, but regarding usability.... none.

How on earth can i be making things upo_O
    Norton dns blocks it.
    Virustotal has detections of it.
Commercial keylogger or not it is being detected as malware plain and simple.
Accept the facts put before you and try not to sweep it under the carpet.:thumb: :ninja:

Norton dns blocks it? so what?

In virus total there was only 1 detection over 37... a FP

Who is detecting it as malware?
Most av's detects cracks and keygens as malware even if those are clean or not.

A monitoring software is not malware, if you are not able to understand that learn a little bit but don't make us lose our time reading a nonsense.

Could you explain me (if you are able) how can you be victim of this software and avoid it using any other av or security suite? try to make this up.
If you can probe that is malware please report it to the hosting service of the website and they will close it down, meanwhile as I said don't make us lose our time.

By the way I guess that an expert like you have noticed that CNET is hoting malware: http://download.cnet.com/windows/monitoring-software/ why don't you say nothing about it? CNET is hosting malware!!!! seems that the IT experts running CNET are stupid.

It's quite unacceptable? jajajaj in a beta? jajajaja please read a little bit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_release_life_cycle
One thing is to install a beta to play with it and another quite different is to install a beta to betatest it

Well, your facts are mixed up. Software is clean but it's purpose isn't. Thats why its flagged as ApplicationUnwanted or PUP in most others by the antivirus component. It's detected by default but you can exclude it on your own if you want to monitor what your kids for example are doing when you're not near them. Some do this kind of stuff and thats why commercial products of such sort exist...

I agree,Fancy gadgets and pretty colors dont make a program good.I had to do some digging around to find settings that I found in a second on version 5.

No im not an expert.Just my observations.
Bugger it in future if i see anything suspicious in regards to virustotal detections and norton dns blocking i shall keep stumm.hows thato_O

christ almighty you mention anything on here and everyone goes into a right huff and gets all high and mighty.again bugger it i shall keep quiet on such things.

lets dump norton dns shall we considering you think its pointless and the results are "So what".In fact lets go the whole hog and dump all dns services altogether.

    Have a good day sir.!!:thumb:

I guess you don't even know what an FP is, and I guess if Norton DNS tell your to anything you would believe it. Why is important what Norton DNS says if you already know what it is? is written in the website is a pc monitor sofware, do you know how to read? I doubt it.
Sorry I'm not going to follow this stupid conversation since you are alone and you are not even able to answer my questions. Also since you make us discover that CNET and many other websites are hosting malware we are all shocked.

Yes i am aware of a false positive thank you.The point im trying to get across is if we dont have any sort of faith in norton or any other dns service then why use it at all.o_O

What would your definition be of spyware?.Monitoring software perhaps.
Anyway you have made your stance clear as i have mine and i see no reason to discuss this any further with you now or at any point in the future.
This conversation will just merely drag down to personal quips and stupid sarcasm somehow covered in wit.
Ive seen a lot of arrogance in your replys and i can see that any further discussion will be completely and utterly futile.
Problem with bigoted people is that they wont change their mind.
My condolences to you and i bid you farewell .:ouch:
