    @guest and jasonbourne...
Thanks for your posted explanations of how CIS installs.
    Very informative and helpful. :)

I dont know, I have never tried CIS complete, it's suppose to be the paid version that adds a 24/7 support and trust connect.

Is there an uninstall tool for CIS? Or is the default uninstall a "clean" and safe one? Anyone using the Firewall with D+ together with Prevx? Any problems?

I think the default uninstall is good enough, you can try to use tools like Revouninstaller or TotalUNistaller to see if the uninstalling process leave something behind.

I have been using Comodo Internet Security (all the components) together with prevx safe online Free without any problem.

    Hello everyone,

We would like to announce that Comodo Internet Security/Antivirus/Firewall 5.3.181415.1237 has just been updated!

This is not a critical update but a precaution. There has been a malware of size 23 MB in the wild which was not detected by CIS unless it is executed. So just for the convenience, we have modified the defaults slightly.

    What's new in 5.3.181415.1237?

CHANGED! Default maximum file size to be scanned has been changed from 20 MB to 40 MB

    Download Locations:

    CIS Premium:

    64 Bit Operating Systems:

    http://download.Comodo.com/cis/download/installs/1000/standalone/cispremium_installer_x64.exe
    Size: 36M ( 37477704 )

    32 Bit Operating Systems:

    http://download.Comodo.com/cis/download/installs/1000/standalone/cispremium_installer_x86.exe
    Size: 34M ( 35188552 )

Is that confirmed? (That you can do a custom install with Comodo Internet Security Complete 2011 -- I believe gery was asking about the "Complete" not the CIS free version). Does this new version allow it?

Really wanna see how can that be done. I did tried it 3x and it was not possible. Please do so post it here (how-to) and if possible with screenshots.

See post#'s 211 and 224. There's a link (https://forums.comodo.com/install-s...-questions-on-cis-complete-2011-t69240.0.html) there to the Comodo forums that says otherwise.

Probably because with Comodo Complete you have 2 guarantees

Comodo Internet Security Complete: Cost - $69.99/Year

    Features:
    - Firewall
    - Antivirus
    - Defense+ (HIPS)
    - Sandbox
    - Live PC Support - Remote Security Support & Anytime System Support - everything.
    - Trust Connect
    - $500 virus free guarantee
    - Online Backup
    - ID Theft Protection up to $15,000

They can not guarantee that if you are not using the full version btw what else do you need if you already have this two guarantees?

Doesn't make any sense pay for it if you are not going to be covered by the guarantees because you want to install only a part of it, then is cheaper use the free version. Unless you are only interested in the 24/7 live remote support

BTW Trust Connect is avaliable for free also but I dont remember the link on the forum.

New update is really lame :D

BTW, Comodo has always been known for it's awesome malware prevention (HIPS, Firewall) :thumb: :thumb:

Saw this thread there at the comodo forums:

    https://forums.comodo.com/install-s...nstall-on-cis-complete-possible-t70079.0.html

Seems with the new version it's still not possible to do a per component install with Comodo Internet Security Complete 2011.

--Yeah. Better to use free version if you don't want the AV. Personally I'd only use the D+ and Firewall which has been superb. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

For people who did not buy it perhaps a gift or token giveaway might as well use the free version..license is not needed(probably give it to someone more in need of it).

Here is the link for the user guide for the ver5.3

Why does Comodo have a "paid" version.. just give it away for free like all the crap they espousing. Good Security should be free for everyone!!!

Better yet why dont they give all those certificates away for free too.
