Do you mean just turn the windows firewall off? Ive disabled the service and the authorization driver too in device manager.
Just had a look at the properties of the windows firewall service and it has no services dependent on it running.
Windows Firewall is safe to disable when using other 3rd party solution. -http://www.blackviper.com/windows-services/windows-firewall/ When asking about a service I always look at Black Viper. NOTE: It seems that in Vista Windows Event Collector depends on Windows Firewall service, just a heads up.
