Does CFW rely on Windows Firewall Service to run properly?

Windows firewall is never completly disabled, the service MUST be enabled (dependency RPC).

Just had a look at the properties of the windows firewall service and it has no services dependent on it running.

Windows Firewall is safe to disable when using other 3rd party solution.

When asking about a service I always look at Black Viper. :D
NOTE: It seems that in Vista Windows Event Collector depends on Windows Firewall service, just a heads up.
