COMODO Cloud Scanner 2.0 Major Update !!!

    What's new
    ----------------------------------------

    - Files verification before submitted via CIMA. The files already submited have quicker verdicts.
    - Files Checking FLS vs. CIMA. Now you can be sure whatever you are behind a proxy or there are connection problems with one of our servers the other one will give you diagnostics.

    What's fixed
    ----------------------------------------

    - CCS not detecting modified files with hex editor
    - issue detecting files when working via proxy
    - problem with CIMA analysis (files already submitted to COMODO servers)

    Known issues
    ----------------------------------------

    - aborting the submitting process of a large file might take longer time than normal
    - deep scan takes longer time to complete on Windows Vista 64bits

Now is working fine, I scanned the computer almost 2 days ago and I uploaded around 1200 unknown files, I have scanned the computer again today and all the files has been already processed and marked safe.

Is quite fast since all the safe files after all the automatic process are checked by humans.

Works different, every single file unknown for Comodo Cloud is uploaded, analyzed and classified.
I guess that this will also help to improve the whitelist database of Comodo Cloud.

Well it did not find Malware or something, but found registry keys that needed fixing so to speak. But most of them belonged to games and software that is i use often, so i did not do anything with those registry findings.

Did you made the full malware scan? or just the fast one?
If you click on details and then if you see at the top of the interface you can do a full scan and upload the unknown files.

Is CCS have the same module in CIS 5? I notice that in CIS 5, cloud scanning is only available in manual scanning. Or it also implement in realtime scanning? Please enlighten me.

    Thank you...

In the real time scanning the unknown files are automatically checked in the cloud. Also with the non certified installers when the popup appears you can check the option "upload this files to comodo" so they will analyze the installer.

The full Malware scan found 66 "Unknown" files which i submitted. They where for the most part DLL's for programs like XnView...lastpass and the likes.

I assume that these submissions will help to build up the cloud database which is also used in CIS 5?

I uploaded more than 1 thousand files, maybe I have too much garbage in my computer xD

And yes, this helps to build the Cloud database, if you make a full scan again in 3 days more or less probably all this 66 files uploaded will no appear again, so the files will not be unknown, they will be already classified.

For me worked in 2 or 3 days, more than 1000 files with the full scan.

Probably they have some kind of priority, they made whitelist by hand and they started with the most repeated files.

some of the 'unknown' files are itunes files, its been over a week now and they are still there! yeah maybe they are prioritizing but over a week is taking the buiscuit.

any antivirus programs signatures would have caught up by now, see my point?

The whitelisting never works with signatures, is done by hand. Only norton and comodo as far as I know uses whitelisting.
I have the latest version of itunes and I dont have any unknown file.
