-"Comodo's detection rate of 91 percent was second-highest in the current group"

-"Comodo's rootkit handling was especially impressive. In several cases, it detected and eliminated rootkits strictly based on their sneaky behavior, without help from antivirus signatures. Like Webroot, Norton, and quite a few others, Comodo detected 100 percent of the rootkits"

-"Like the vast majority of current products, Comodo detected 100 percent of the scareware (fake antivirus) samples"

-"There's even an option to have it replace Task Manager, so Ctrl+Alt+Del brings up the full power of KillSwitch. Clearly this is a tool to delight us geeks, not something designed for the average user."

    -"No Blocking, No Lab Results
Comodo Security Essentials doesn't get tested by the big independent labs. That's too bad; I'd like to see how it does. But many of the labs focus on static testing, and this product doesn't attempt to identify inactive threats. Those that do test Comodo's suite generally give it low marks."

-"We're naming Comodo Editors' Choice for cleanup-only antivirus."

In addition CCE doesn't have an installer - just unzip to the location of choice, such as a flash drive for portability.

Thank you for the heads up. I have a problem that may be virus related and I already scanned with Panda so I downloaded CCE and did a scan with it.

    Thanks again.

Shouldn't that be used to say that their AV would be decent as well?

The name of the latest zipped file for Comodo Cleaning Essentials is:

cce_2.3.219500.176_x64.zip (if you have a 64 bit OS).

You downloaded something called Comodo Cloud Scanner.

Can someone explain the chart, software that removed 100% of the bad stuff got different scores. Look at rootkit detection/removal for example.

    Just an article anyway...

Since this includes KillSwitch as well, I am making this my go-to tool for a para-scanner/removal method.

The issue I always had with removal products is you needed quite a few of them depending on the situation or suspected infection. Now, you can carry just this one to solve most removal problems, especially since their rootkit detection is so darn high.

I shall put this on all my computers, in my master install folder, AND on my USB drive just in case! :)

Running it right now, but seems to 'think' the main-service from BD AV 2012 is malware. o_O (vsserv.exe)
And the toolbox from IObit (Toolbox.exe)
