IMPROVED! KillSwitch - We have finetuned and optimized KS UI.

The new autorun analyzer is different from most of the others because
    * It is more comprehensive - it will list more entires than others

I can't really trust CCE. All it seems to find is a ton of false positives.:(

Thanks for the heads up, Mops21.

I've already grabbed a copy of both installers.

I'm sure that's why every time some YouTube reviewer uses it, MBAM and HitmanPro will always come to the rescue.

    As usual.

    Never, as usual.

Either you didn't watch the video or you're blind.

Fanboys and haters, please do not spoil the thread. The product is far from being perfect now but it has a very promising future.

You're really missing the point of CCE.

It should be considered as one part of a malware cleanup job,not a panacea. What it will do is return the system to a state that'll enable you to run other tools such as HMP and MBAM,both of which are and will remain to be,great tools.

I have to say, I am never satisfied with a comodo product, though it always looks appealing to me. BTW, last time I tried CCE, it atucally caused some damage to my taskbar settings (can't remember exactly), which I think is too ridiculous to use.

That's why it's not recommended to run Beta software on an important system.

    Can it clean up ZeroAccess.

The quality of Comodo products is generally pretty poor. Beta products from other companies are in many cases equal in quality to Comodo's released products. Comodo's Beta products.. well what can I say. Thats why they are always in Beta.

Beta means BETA, for every product. Other is polemic.

As Melih recently mentioned CCE is a powerful tool and should not be messed with, i daren't ask exactly what you were doing to mess up your taskbar settings o_O
Beta means test phase, what malware were you cleaning in your test o_O
I suggest you file the appropriate bug reports.

I never treat it as a malware cleaner in the first place. So I just used some basic clean function as I use CCleaner (Files and Registry clean), then it ended up cleaned all of my pinned directory to Windows Explorer docked on my taskbar (if my memory serves right). Well, it's been about a year since, so I am not sure if that's what had happened. Also, I remember I had also complained about the problem in their forum a little.

EDIT: OK, I checked their website and noticed that I'm talking about a different program, namely Comodo System Cleaner. So pardon me on this one please.

I dont know maybe it is just me but I think Comodos products are some of the best I have ever used! Especially CCE. The biggest aspect of CCE that I love is Kill Switch. It is one of the first tools I use when cleaning a system. It is great at detecting malware that is currently running in memory and then killing it. Then I run MBAM etc. I dont relay on CCE as my default malware scanner but it is a great second opinion. I also like the feature that it can fix alot of issues with internet connectivity and reset the host file etc. The autorun analyzer is also a nice feature as well thought not sure on its effectiveness it seems to work well. I here people occasionally criticize CCE effectivness Im just not sure what there is to complain about. It is a great tool to have in your anti-malware tool box. I know from experience it is great when working on infected systems. Is it met to replace tools like Hitman Pro and MBAM? no. It is met to be used in conjunction with them. Killswitch takes all but a minute to run and you can clear active memory of malware then you can run your other tools. Then again maybe I am just what they call a "fanboy". If I am I am also a "fanboy" of Hitman Pro and MBAM.
