    Apple claims they just don't get viruses, and everyone I ask on line verifies that. I think it's only a matter of time, but don't want to install an AV unless it will have a job. How come you use an AV on your iMac? :)

    I'm using an AV because I also have PC's on the home network and lots of friends have PC's. Windows viruses wont hurt mac but I don't want to spread them to others.

    Almost ALL Antiviruses available may it be ESET, Avast!, Kasperky, or COMODO,
    will detect Windows, Linux, And Mac OS X Malware.

    So the AV will surely detect something but maybe not an exclusive OS X threat;)
