I have updated the thread about the required system files for TDS-3:

    http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=2906

    The changes:

    1.
I have updated the list of files and their version numbers as they are showed at the moment at the DiamondCS site.

That site was last updated on 08/19/2002.

So check again whether those files are indeed on your system, and check whether you have the right version.

    2.
I have added a posting about how you can monitor those files for changes with a feature in TDS-3.

So you will see an alert in TDS-3 when for some reason (for example after the installation of a new program) those files are changed.
In such a case you have to check yourself whether an older or newer version is installed; when an older version is installed, install again the right version from that list.

    Hi

    Thanks for the information.

With CRC32 set to scan at start my configuration scans 31 files.
Good to know how to use this function to monitor more files. :)

    Regards

    Hi Gerry and Blaze,

    You're welcome :)

As I posted: you have to add files with their full path.
I have a program from Ontrack called Powerdesk Pro (not free) with which you can very easily copy the path as text, and then you simply paste it in your crcfiles.txt file.

For example with a few mouse clicks is here my path of ad-aware.exe:

    C:\Program Files\Lavasoft Ad-Aware\Ad-aware.exe

There is also a free version of Powerdesk (not the Pro one), and I understood from Kent that you can do that also with the free version.
