Yesterday -all of a sudden- Prevx warned about 16 virus & assorted threats, all detected in ProgramFiles : Tools/ K-LiteCodecPack (Standard vs.).

Now, I'm used to both Prevx&Comodo Fps as also Avira's ones, but I was astounded that I had installed the Codecs -version 6.5 -two days before and I had analyzed the files with Prevx,Comodo AV,Avira and Superantispyware in 3 computers and NONE ,including Prevx, had warned about anything.

Two days after the install Prevx comes up with 4 very dangerous viruses, later becoming 16 at Scan-Cleanup, all pertaining to KLCP Tools.

I was tempted to discard it all as a FP,but, knowing codecs can be tricky, I proceeded to cleanup with Prevx.

No harm to the computer ensued as they were not paramount to video etc. functions.
I can put back an image and go back,or reinstall if needed, as I think it is a mistake from Prevx, considering I have been downloading their (codecguide.com) Pack in all pcs for years with no virus at all.

In the past I probably had 2-3 Fps from Prevx in 2-3 years, now 16 all at once?

Is this a glimpse from the future/a new ,more aggressive policy inspired by Webroot?

Or, did anyone who downloaded the KliteCodecPack have reasons to believe there were baddies in it,in this case I am wrong?

I also had this yesterday with K-lite codec pack Full version(6.5.0 installed on the 8th of October.) After a scheduled scan Prevx found 11 infections, I sent a mail to Prevx to ask if they were FP's and included a scan log, and got a reply back that the FP's were fixed.
