A friend of mine was having problems with his registered copy of version 10 so I borrowed his CD and installed version 10 over my register copy of version 9 so that I could print the User's Guide for version 10. After doing this, I uninstalled version 10 from my computer and re-installed version 9. Since doing this I can not clone hard drives. The clone utility had performed flawlessly until now. I tried to uninstall the program (version 9) and re-install several times. I have also removed all references to Acronis and True Image from the registry and have deleted the Acronis folder from the Program Files directory and re-installed. When I execute the clone utility, everything is normal and it reboots the computer to the blue Windows XP screen, then performs the drive and partition verifications. However, the screen that shows the copy progress is never displayed and the screen just scrolls to the "Press any key to shut down....". When checking, there is nothing written to the destination drive. I desperately need you help on this one!

    rmusick,

I'd just restore a backup image taken prior to installing ver 10 on your computer. That's the quick way of fixing these strange problems.

Also be sure to make the bootable Rescue CD. Don't wait until it's too late to want to make one.

    Hello rmusick,

You do not need to install ATIH10.0 to get the User's Guide. It can be downloaded from Acronis web site here.

You could try to remove ATI completely using these instructions and then install ATIH9.0 again.
