Hi, I have a server which someone has (strangely) setup up to have the main data disk (not the boot drive) to be on 2 dynamic disks, set up as a spanned volume.

I want to move this volume to a new disk, and make it Basic and simple at the same time.

Is there a Paragon tool that can do this while Windows is running, or even in Safe mode?

    cheers

    Hello 96ghia,

You'll have to backup the spanned disk, restore it to a single disk where it'll fit, and convert the dynamic volume to basic, all can be done with DB 9 Server edition. Technically, all of the steps can be done in Windows without restart as long as the data is not being accessed.
