I have been given the task of saving contents of a disk that is reporting imminent failure. When I ran TI 7 to clone the disk, I received the following error: (paraphrased) Failure to read disk sector 1
By choosing 'retry', I was able to get the cloning to continue (to a point0. Eventually I chose 'ignore all', just to get done and see if I had anything usable.
Can anyone shed light on this situation? What is the best way to proceed?

    Hi

Sounds as if you might have a USB memory card reader/writer installed. If so, insert a memory card into it or disconnect it.

    Regards

Thanks, but there was no card reader attached at the time (or previously used.)
Also, I neglected to mention that the cloning was being done with a boot CD of True Image.

I ended up with a good clone, however, in spite of the errors. My choosing to 'ignore all errors' worked this time.
