    Deal All,

We are using Eset Endpoint Antivirus 5.0.2126. I have a query regarding client update. I need to configure the clients to get the updates from the local sever if the connectivity is availble. And if they are not connected to the network, they should uodate directly from the internet. Any one has got experience in configuring a policy like this ?If so please share your experience.

    Thanks
    Rajesh

    Hello,

What you need to do is create what we call a dual update profile in ESET Remote Administrator. What this does is tell ESET Endpoint Antivirus to check the local mirror on your LAN or, failing a successful connection, try ESET's update servers via the public Internet.

Step-by-step instructions on how to do this can be found in ESET Knowledgebase Article #3036, "How do I create a dual update profile configuration with ESET Remote Administrator?".

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

Positive feedback re. this option :thumb:
I have been using NOD32/ESET since version 2.0 and ESET Remote Administrator since v1 - this (what Aryeh Goretsky posted) has always worked fine - including with the latest version 5. It works fine and with no issues - as long as you do it right as per the instructions.
