Hi, I was not sure where to post this question but my work plans to switch from Cisco VPN to Juniper Network Connect for remote access and I wondered is there any difference in security risk to the user at home with those? We had used Cisco VPN for years and connected directly to it using Secure ID and then remote desktop. The Juniper Network Connect connects through a website using Internet Explorer or Firefox and then the remote desktop is the same. Does going through the website change the security compared to Cisco VPN or are these really doing the same thing? If connected to either all day or most of day is the user from home safe from other security risks when using these? Lastly if the browser does make a difference in security would it matter if it were Internet Explorer or Firefox? Thanks.
