Chromium version 50.0.2629 not installing on Windows 7?

I have version 49 on my 32 bit, Windows 7 computer and was trying to upgrade to version 50+ of Chromium. But this version will not install for some reason. Is the 50+ version of Chromium compatible/ able to be installed on Windows 7, 32 bit computers?
And FWIW - I am not interested in fixing this problem by installing Google Chrome.

 

HI it could be to do with this i know its linux but ref to 32 bit chrome may be a 32 bit issue in general ?

the 32-bit issue does not apply to chromium only to chrome.

 

Thanks for the replies. Turns out it was ESET HIPS not allowing the install even though I had it set to allow.
