Not with default settings, you are right. Had to explain more, see picture With this country level domain limitation, about 40% of the malware URL's are filtered out. Google's safe browsing and Smart screen (desktop) filter out about 75% of the malware URL's, so without AV this would provide a theoretical 85% protection rate with limitions having no impact on my browsing functionality. Hope a fair portion of the remaining 15% is tackled by Google's sandbox and the enable-ppapi-win32k-lockdown
Okay thanks! I do use the "Let me choose when to..." Plugin setting, as it's a good compliment to uBlockO, which I use to default-block 3rd party frames and scripts. I'm thinking you could safely allow [*.]gov in there as well?
Yes agree, but Dutch government websites are all NL (Netherlands), so that is why I don't have GOV included. When I recall right (using a memory aid), based on some reports, the relative division of malware per high level (country) domain is: - HTTPS, EDU, GOV, NET, ORG were all below 10% - EU - COM = NL, being EU is below 45%, COM is below 30% and NL is below 15% So with these simple precautions risk is reduced with 75% (average of secure high level domain mentioned above). Google's safe browsing and Microsoft's smartdisk filter out 75% of the malware URL's, so risk is reduced to below 10% (approx 6-8%). This equals Microsoft Defender protection levels When I enable Scriptblocker for Chrome (around 80% of the infected URL's is delivered through third party iframes, scripts and flash/pdf objects), this is reduced to 1 to 2 percent. Protection rate of 98 to 99 percent is as good as a top notch AV, so I am a safe surfer

Nice additional features in about://flags, appcontainer and win32k-lockdown for people on Windows 8, 8.1 and 10
That is exciting stuff, Kees. I was aware of the development of the win32k-lockdown flag, but I was not aware of the appcontainer flag. May I ask, which is your preference? Or can both be utilized at the same time?
According to him, yes. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/chrome-sandboxed.377440/page-23#post-2558114 I suggest you to read the subsequent posts also.
@Mister X Excellent, thank you, sir. You're right, Kees' answers in that thread cover what I was wondering and so much more. I will definitely keep an eye on that thread as well.

For Google Chrome & Chromium users: User nik over at http://chromium.woolyss.com/ has recently been compiling vanilla Chromium builds for 64-bit users while Chromium buildbot was failing with 64-bit builds. Anyway, these builds have remained steady/continuous and have come in various builds with Codecs (h264, MP3, etc) enabled/disabled and Google API services (Sync, etc.) enabled/disabled. Vanilla Chromium users on Windows, for a long time now, have wished for builds with Codecs enabled. And now, even better, they are also providing current Stable builds of Chromium which Chromium has never provided. So these, for example, are compiled using Stable branch 48.0.2564.103 (359700), containing all of the recent patches and fixes. Anyway, this gives several options to go 100% for Google, or alternatively 100% away from Google services.
