I use Startpage HTTPS and the "Ok Google" is not there. I temporarily changed to Google search and it appeared. So, if you don't use Google as your default search (choosing Duck Duck Go or something else), it should not be a concern.
I see that the Chrome OS stable channel updated today, and it's noted in the announcement that, "Systems will be receiving updates over the next several days". Perhaps that is what has been taking place with the Windows, Mac, and Linux stable channel updates recently? Maybe they've been spread out, but it wasn't announced as such, and we are all trying to update the same day and it just isn't happening. Maybe.
I have noticed this behaviour and has crossed my mind. Several days at most from announcement till chrome actually updates, Although on one occasion it was 4 days. The stats show it is the most popular browser, all updating at the same time takes a heavy toll on servers.
."Although Microsoft informed users of the "known issues" with Windows 10 build 10525, one particular issue that was overlooked relates to the 64-bit version of Google Chrome. I left Google Update services set to automatic by mistake and 157 was already there when I went to update.

Got it! Manual internal updater worked fine this time with Services set on manual start. Thanks for the heads up.

Google Chrome 45 32 Bits crashing on Win 10 64. Tried reinstall but still crashing. Can anyone confirm?
@yesnoo Chrome 45 on Win 10 64-bit working well here. Are you on stable 10240 or latest Insider Fast ring build?
@yesnoo Have you tried installing 64-bit Chrome? Just curious if it will produce that same error message or not.
I dont want to install 64 Bits Chrome. 32 Bits Chrome 44 was working fine... it updated & the crash prob started. I use Vivaldi TP4 too. I have installed it as Standalone install. Hope Vivaldi is not the prob. I deleted Vivaldi folder but Chrome 45 still crashes. No prob with Chrome 44. Reinstalled 45, profile folder - Default renamed to Default Backup & started Chrome but still crashed... checked profile folder... new default folder was there but Chrome still crashing.
Updated to Version 45.0.2454.85 (64-bit) on Ubuntu this morning. The "hamburger" drop down menu has changed a bit.
