I just discovered my browser stores passwords in a TEXT file on my computer,so nothing can be read from websites anyway even if i did store stuff with it.. (Im using MyIE2)

The contents of the file ARE ENCRYPTED (Username/Password) ... (Much better than the way IE does it)

I have had this browser many years and everyday IM STILL FINDING OUT AWESOME STUFF ABOUT IT!!

Both Chrome and Firefox (I assume IE as well) encrypt their passwords with your Windows password.

But IE puts that data in PROTECTED STORAGE which can be read by websites... MyIE2 does not do that.

I can either use IE's username/password save or MyIE2's (And from seeing this thread now IF I DID SAVE THAT STUFF,MyIE2's way is better)

i only store website passwords in a browser for non-sensitive stuff.

any sensitive passwords is handled by a password manager.
no way, i would store my banking password and such inside the browser. :cautious:

I store no passwords in my browser even if for websites that might be considered nonsensitive. I use a password manager instead.

LastPass :) + automatically delete browsing data (IE9) including form and passwords.

    Besides, IE 8 isn't a bad compromise.

Not too crazy considering that the attacker would need physical access to the computer, and if they have that they can do a lot to defeat your mitigations.

Still, a master password would be nice. Even if it wouldn't help too much.
