Checking ESS new version.

    Hello.

    I'm currently using ESS v5.2.9.1. I have some questions:
    1. If I click "Check" to check if there is a new version of ESS and if there is one, will ESS automatically update to it or ESS just download the setup file and I have to install it manually?
    2. Will the settings I made in the Advance Setup area be restored to the default settings once I update to the new version?

    Clicking Check will only check for a newer version. If available, the link will change to Install.

    When performing an upgrade, settings are preserved.

    One more thing, if I click "Install", will the update be installed automatically? Or will the setup file be downloaded first, then I have to install it manually?

    The program will be upgraded automatically to the latest version then.
